When the orbits of these two satellites of ours happened to cross paths, we could be together. Maybe even open our hearts to each other. But that was only for the briefest moment. In the next instant we’d be in absolute solitude. Until we burned up and became nothing.
―Haruki Murakami, Sputnik Sweetheart

I like Murakami, have read a few of his novels. Thanks for sharing!
Me too! He has written so many. Kafka on the Shore and Dance, Dance, Dance are my favorites so far. I also liked Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki. I like the way he blurs reality to tell a different kind of truth.
I forget the names of the ones I’ve read, but I know I had a hardback copy of Colourless Tsukuru Tasaki, which I probably remember because it was fairly recent! His writing is very unique and absorbing 🙂
I love magic realism in general, but even among those writers he has a very unique voice.
