Featured Artist: Kurt Newton

Synkroniciti is thrilled to welcome poet and writer Kurt Newton from Connecticut. The new “Transcend” issue features three of his poems:  Dreamland, which contemplates the ways in which the pandemic made humanity mindful of our need for transcendent change; Firefly, which speaks of the brevity and wonder of existence; and A Dream of Everlasting Love, a surreal and comforting look at the end of life. Kurt is also a prolific fantasy and dark horror writer. He combines a haunting otherworldliness with a willingness to look at the world honestly, thus creating an atmosphere that is both surreal and familiar. At home with the ambiguity of paradox and enigma and filled with subtle humor, he is an expert tour guide for the road less taken.

Come and experience Kurt’s imaginative poetry! Please purchase our “Transcend” issue, Vol. 3, No. 4, or subscribe here. The issue is now available online as of November 30th.

Kurt Newton’s poetry tends to straddle the line between the dark and the light, the beautiful and the grotesque, the painfully real and the humorously absurd. His most recent poetic ventures have found their way into the virtual pages of Eye to the Telescope, Oddball Magazine, Global Poemic, The Wild Word, Brickplight, Hobo Camp Review and Penumbric.
