Synkroniciti is delighted to welcome back visual artist and writer Nino Khundadze of Tbilisi, Georgia, with “Dreams,” an insightful combination of artwork and text exhorting us to work towards a better world for everyone rather than dreaming of stockpiling profit and plenty for ourselves. She challenges us to be more present, more empathic, and less wasteful. If we are living in a way that is healthy, we will be happier and the world around us will be safer and happier. Fulfillment and hope come from within the individual.
“If we were present, we would understand we are living our dreams all the time.
If we listen to ourselves, I mean actually listen from within, we are not so needy for validation. This leads to communities where we are heard, because when we listen, we create space to be heard…”
Nino’s words are concise and courageous, cutting through the everyday illusions that humanity manufactures to sanitize our reality. Her artwork, on the other hand, is more fluid, speaking to our subconscious longing for meaning and for play, which are not so far apart as we might think.
A shadow of a child raises a bubble-wand into the air and above him billows a cloud of orange and blue, while the sky radiates blue and green. What is it that this child is loosing into the world? What footprint are we leaving behind?
