Synkroniciti is proud to nominate six outstanding works for the Pushcart Prize this year: three poems, two short stories and a creative nonfiction essay. If we choose a piece for an issue, we already think it’s a winner, but there are some pieces that really stick with us. We will have some new nominations for you later this month in Best Micro Fiction and the Best American Series. We have so many stellar pieces now that we are expanding our nominations to recognize more artists for their work.
“Belonging” almost swept the list, but “Haunting”‘s mid December publication meant we had less familiarity with those works, so expect them to show up on future lists.
