Happy weekend! This whimsical stop motion short film is Gulp by Sumo Science, depicting a fantastical day in the life of a fisherman. Sand artists working on Pendine Beach in South Wales painstaking created each frame, the largest of which is over 11,000 square feet, and used a Nokia N8 cell phone with a 12 pixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics that was suspended high above the beach to shoot the footage. The film holds a world record for the largest set of stop motion images ever shot. Cool!
What have you done with your cell phone lately?
