Never Strike a Clock: Colette and Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges

The child is naughty. After he makes a mess and strikes the old grandfather clock, the objects in the room begin to come alive, and they aren’t in a good mood! Please enjoy the first part of this wonderfully imaginative contemporary dance version of Ravel‘s opera with a libretto by Colette, L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, The Child and the Spells, choreographed by Jiří Kylián and performed by the Nederlands Dans Theater. You don’t need a translation to follow what is going on. Completely delightful! Which character is your favorite?
