The sixth day of our Globe-trotting Travel Series brings us to Mentor, Ohio, USA, and features the phenomenal mezzo-soprano and teacher, Heidi Skok of Skokstudio. Never one to rest when there is work to be done, she offers us some beautifully rich Caccini along with wisdom that translates into all artistic disciplines. A twelve-year veteran of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, where she sang as a soprano, performing day in and day out in repertoire that was ultimately uncomfortable, she understands that it is possible to achieve high levels of public success and not be in a place that is right for you.
