Globe-trotting Travel Series #4: Dancers of the Ballet de l’Opéra national de Paris

Synkroniciti’s Globe-trotting Travel Series continues today with this beauty from the dancers of the Paris Opera, who greet us from their homes with a stunningly choreographed performance. The music of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet and the movements of these artists, from the gentle and tender to the aggressive and manic, mirror our own moods during this uniquely stressful time of quarantine. Life goes on, but with a peculiar energy and heightened state of fear and wonder.
This video performance is “dedicated to doctors and all nursing staff, farmers, teachers, researchers and lab assistants, tradespeople, supermarket staff, warehouse people, garbage collectors, truckers, delivery people, postmen, workers, firefighters, the military, the police, managers, journalists, telephone operators, network technicians, teleworkers, social workers, and volunteers and so many who are mobilized for all of us.”
