Globe-trotting Travel Series #29: Sound of Silence, Tiago Teixeira, Disturbed cover of Simon and Garfunkel

Day 29 features Brazilian born, London-based filmmaker Tiago Teixeira‘s Sound of Silence, made by editing together drone footage from several large cities with the emotional rendition of Simon and Garfunkel’s Sound of Silence performed by the band Disturbed. It’s a stunning, beautifully made reminder of the days when the world stood still in the face of Covid-19.

This is the second version of the film, after the first ran into some copyright issues over drone footage that is not present in this version. The musicians and most photographers waived their copyright, moved by the profound sentiment. Disturbed even featured it on their Facebook page.
