Funny Name: What’s in a Name from American Splendor

Harvey Pekar was an American comic book writer and music critic. While he was not officially labeled a comedian, you may remember his witty appearances on the David Letterman Show years ago. He was the writer of the American Splendor comic, a popular comic published from 1976 to 2008 which was based upon his own life. In 2003, the series spawned a critically acclaimed film adaptation starring Paul Giamatti.
