Synkroniciti is thrilled to welcome back one of Houston’s rock stars, Misha Penton. Misha builds visual soundscapes, enchanted realities where dreams prevail. We are so honored that she wrote the music video “Wings” specifically for us. It’s based on an original, transcendental poem augmented by a multi-track musical composition featuring her otherworldly vocals and an absolutely gorgeous film, full of water and reflection. Misha amplifies her internal world for us and shares it as a place of empowerment, exploring the feminine through symbol and sound. It’s an intuitive creation guided by impressive skills and masterfully integrated. Ursula LeGuin said in her Bryn Mawr address of 1986, “When we women offer our experience as our truth, as human truth, all the maps change. There are new mountains.” Misha shows us that there are not only mountains, but lakes and oceans and streams. The feminine is as wild and varied as nature itself and barely explored.
Experience Misha’s fascinating world in the “Empowered” issue of our online magazine, available here. You can subscribe or order the issue, which debuted September 1, 2022.
