Synkroniciti’s November 30th issue will have the theme of space. The submission period is open through October 16th and we will be posting a prompt every day on the subject. You are welcome to use this prompt to generate creative work. If you like, you can submit the work to us–but you aren’t required to do so. If you do submit, please follow the procedure on our submissions page. We do charge a $3 fee, which you can pay on the page.

There is an old, rusty door in my neighbor’s garden. It’s always closed when I stand on tip-toe to peer over the fence, but sometimes as I am watering the container garden at my back door at sunset I hear a spooky creak followed by a loud bang. This noise isn’t her back door, which is modern and much like mine. I can’t think of what else it could be, except that red door. I am sure it’s simply a shed.
