Day 28: This is a poem I wrote after visiting Zion National Park in the glorious state of Utah. It’s about a place, eerie and beautiful, called the Temple of Sinawava. You can hear rocks falling into the water downstream. White datura, a hallucinogenic flower that can prove fatal, blooms. A human being feels dwarfed by the immensity of the landscape. Prints of this poem are available in our Shop. At the Temple of Sinawava by Katherine McDaniel.
