Our tenth poem is one I wrote for Houston Grand Opera’s Houston Artists Respond, a program that linked artists with members of classes at Baker Ripley Community Center. Drumming voices the experience of a woman who grew up in Guerrero, Mexico and immigrated to the United States. Such a marvelous spirit and story!
